Submission Guidelines

Submission Guidelines

Please follow these guidelines when submitting your story.

1) You, the author, must to be the person who experienced the amazingly bad date. No second-hand accounts or stories that happened to your Aunt Rene's neighbor's pet-sitter's kindergarten teacher. Accounts should be written in the first person.

2) Please don't reference things that make it completely obvious who the bad date was with. Never-ever include their Match.com handle or real-life name. Get creative and make up something funny that relates to the date.

3.) Protect your privacy. Instead of writing "We met at The Long Beach Yard House at 5 pm on Sunday" write, "We met for drinks at a brewery" - or something less descriptive like that. You don't want your jaded Match.com date to stumble upon this site and hunt you down.

4) Be creative and have fun with writing. If we have edits and/or suggestions, we will email you for approval first. Be sure to provide an email address where we can contact you.

4) Indicate how you want to be credited. The default choice is first initial and last name. If you don't want your name attached in that manner, be sure to mention that in the e-mail and include an alternative alias.

What NOT to send: accounts detailing overly raunchy or illegal activities.

Date safe and happy blogging!
